Stuff to Do with Kids at the Progressive® Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow®

It’s that time of year when we’re looking for any reason to get the kids out of the house, even for just a few hours. Taking them to the Progressive Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow is a great, fun way to spend the day.

Kids have a blast seeing all the different boats and exploring them with their parents (when you’re in and around the boats, be sure to keep your kids close by to keep them safe!). The show staff has also packed the event with cool boating and fishing activities kids will love:
TROUT FISHING POND
Yes, kids can catch and release live fish! It’s a great way to introduce youngsters to the fun of fishing. Kids 12 and younger.
PIRATE ISLAND
Join Captain Tim and his crew of pirate scallywags for a "high seas adventure"—climb aboard a pirate ship, sing pirate sea shanties, and skirmish with swords. Be sure to take photos as a souvenir of your pirate adventure.
KIDS ARCHERY RANGE
Young outdoor enthusiasts can take aim and test their marksmanship at a 3-D Archery Range. Presented by The National Wild Turkey Foundation and St. Louis Longbeards. Saturday & Sunday ONLY.
PADDLE SPORTS POOL
Try kayaking all show long in our large indoor pool. We’ll provide all the gear and instruction—the seminars schedule and open paddle times will be posted on-site at the pool.
THE HAWG TROUGH
Kids love this 5,000 gallon, 40-foot-long, fish tank that’s fully stocked with freshwater fish native to our area. Tournament pros will be holding fishing seminars atop the Hawg Trough teaching their tips and techniques at seminars throughout the weekend.
PROGRESSIVE® INSURANCE BOOTH
In partnership with Progressive Insurance and the Annapolis School of Seamanship. Kids can show off their docking technique in the pool with RC boats, or take a spin in a Virtual Reality boating experience (with a parent’s on-site permission). While they’re boating, chat with a Progressive Insurance expert to learn about boating coverage or get a free quote.
