2019 ProgressiveĀ® Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow docks at America's Center & The Dome Feb. 7-10, celebrating 65 years of life on the water

Regionā€™s biggest boating and outdoors event showcases new boats, gear and family fun -- featuring Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel

ST. LOUIS (January 8) — Ahoy! Novice boaters and experienced captains alike can escape cabin fever at the 2019 Progressive® Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow®, held at America’s Center & The Dome Feb. 7-10. Celebrating 65 years, the region’s largest boating and outdoors event will showcase hundreds of new boats to board and buy, marine accessories and gear to prepare for outdoor fun, and a host of hands-on activities for all ages, including a special appearance by the world-famous Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel, who will perform multiple shows daily.
 
“This year’s show is shaping up to be the biggest and best ever. Show goers can take advantage of the best deals to outfit any boating and outdoors lifestyle, and escape the winter blues with activities for all ages,” said Becca Doyle, show manager. “We are beyond excited to welcome the famous water-skiing squirrel, Twiggy, to St. Louis. She is awe-inspiring and a total crowd-pleaser.”
 
Twiggy is one of many interactive exhibits at the 2019 Progressive® Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow®. Additional highlights include:
  • Paddle Sports Pool, where attendees can get their feet wet attending demos and testing out a new Hobie or Jackson Kayak. Seminar and open paddle times will be posted on-site. 
  • Upper Limits Rock Climbing Wall, open for free sessions daily for all ages.
  • Pirate Island, where kids can climb aboard a pirate ship, sing pirate sea shanties and skirmish with swords with Captain Tim and his crew of pirate scallywags for a "high seas adventure."
  • The Hawg Trough, a 5,000-gallon, fully stocked fishing demo tank with seminars from pro anglers.
  • Catch-and-Release Trout Pond, where little ones can practice their angling skills for free, reeling in live trout.
  • Progressive®Boat Club, featuring educational seminars, a virtual boating simulator and remote control pond to help sharpen boating skills – great for all ages! In partnership with the Annapolis School of Seamanship.
The 2019 Progressive Insurance St. Louis Boat and Sportshow takes place at America’s Center and The Dome:
  • Thursday, Feb. 7, 2-9 p.m.
  • Friday, Feb. 8, Noon-9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 10, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults, and children under 12 are free.
