2013 Progressive Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow Brings Great Outdoors to Life February 6-10 at America’s Center & Edward Jones Dome
Sportshow brings summer fun indoors with new Lighthouse & Harbor experience, Appearances by History Channel’s Swamp People, and more

St. Louis, Mo. (October 11, 2012) – Leave winter doldrums behind and experience the sounds and sights of summer at the 2013 Progressive Insurance St. Louis Boat & Sportshow. From February 6-10, America’s Center and Edward Jones Dome will transform into an outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise with the latest boats, marine accessories, fishing gear, and hunting equipment, plus a rare chance to ignite the senses and escape to the Lake of the Ozarks at the new Lighthouse and Harbor experience.

2013 show highlights include:

• Experience the boating lifestyle at the new Lighthouse & Harbor experience, where visitors can browse some of the coolest boats in a harbor setting. This large, life-like dock also offers a relaxing patio area, where visitors can order something to eat and listen to nautical music.

• Special appearances from the History Channel’s Swamp People, R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere, a father and son alligator hunting team from Louisiana, and fishing all-star Brent Chapman, the 2012 Bassmaster Angler of the year, who will teach his tricks of the trade to show goers.

 Fun for kids includes free fishing at the Becky Thatcher Trout Pond, free scuba lessons at the DEMA Diver tank, pirate fun aboard the Gypsy Rose III, an interactive life-size pirate ship, Dock Dogs, a returning favorite for all ages, and appearances by Dora the Explorer

• Hands-on education and DIY fun includes fishing and hunting seminars from top pros at the Boating & Outdoor Classroom and the Texas Bass Tank; Fred’s Shed, a garage-like learning atmosphere, helps DIY lovers sharpen skills with an array of seminars on boat repair and maintenance; and a look back at history with classic boat beauties at the Antique & Classic Boat display.
